Remember that you need to signup separately for ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE in order to receive greeting instructions and a parking placard. Parking details are at the bottom of this list.
ALL greetings will take place in the main terminal and you DO NOT have to go through TSA Security. There is an occasional commercial flight when you will be able to greet the veterans at their arrival/departure gate. In these instances, you will need a gate access pass (GAP) and you WILL go through the regular TSA Security screening process. If a flight does allow gate access passes, there will be additional signups below that state “AT THE GATE”.

Signup forms will close approximately 48 hours prior to every scheduled date.
PARKING: Parking for free at Dulles Airport remains in place for the spring 2023 season. The airport is NOT providing free parking in Garage #1. We park in a separate lot that is not much farther of a walk than from Garage #1. When you sign up for a flight, the location of the lot, the procedure for entering the lot, and a placard to place on your car’s dashboard will be sent to you in an email 48 to 24 hours before the arrival time for the flight.
In order to receive the parking information mentioned above, DRIVERS are reminded to sign up in advance. Make SURE when you sign up that you answer the required question “Will you be driving and need a parking placard?” and be sure that your email address is entered correctly. Volunteers who wish to pay for parking in Garage #1 should note that it costs $6.00 per hour to a maximum of $19.00. Parking in the Terminal lot (in front of the main terminal) is more expensive at $6.00 per hour to a maximum of $27.00.
