First of all, it’s been a busy October for Honor Flights at Dulles.  We’ve welcomed 1737 veterans plus all the guardians, staff, and medics on the 23 flights.  On October 20th, we welcomed 367 veterans on that single day with five flights — a record for us.

These welcomes would not be the same without all of you, our valued greeters. We know that having so many flights made it very difficult to find time to be at a lot of those flights. On top of that, parking has been challenging most of the time. We’d like to thank you for your diligence in being here. It shows that, in spite of challenges, you are showing these veterans that we really care about them and the sacrifices that they have made for our country. OUR VETERANS THANK YOU!!

We are down to the last two flights of the fall season.  On November 7th, we will welcome two planes from the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight with 120 veterans.  On November 17th, our last flight will be Greater Peoria Honor Flight with 75 veterans.
